Dear Glen Ridge High School Parent/Guardian:

For the Fall athletic season, please see the below information regarding the yearly activity fee at GRHS.

This letter is to inform you that the Glen Ridge Public School District will continue to charge an activity fee for the 2024-2025 school year.  All high school students in grades 9-12 who participate in the following co-curricular programs: Athletics, Marching Band, & Drama, will pay a fee of $300 per student with a family cap of $550 for two or more students. This will allow us to continue our programs without a reduction in co-curricular offerings or staff.  This fee is good for the entire school year.

The School Board and district administration face the very difficult task of developing an annual budget which continues our commitment to excellent education and co-curricular programs while recognizing the growing cost to local taxpayers.  We all want to continue providing a superior education to the children of Glen Ridge in a fiscally responsible manner. One of our greatest assets is the rich, diverse set of co-curricular offerings available to our students at Glen Ridge High School. The extensive offerings would not be possible without the supplement funding from the student activity fee.

If a student begins an activity and does not complete it, there will be no refund.  Students eligible for free or reduced lunch are exempt.  Families experiencing financial hardships should request consideration by informing the building principal.

The deadline for submitting payment is prior to the first day of practice.

Football/Girls Tennis- August 12th

Cross Country/Field Hockey/Soccer/Girls Volleyball/Marching Band/Fall Cheer- August 19th

Students will not be permitted to practice until the fee is paid. Any student who does not participate in a co-curricular activity is not required to pay the fee.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Payments this year will be handled through the MySchoolBucks system or via check payable to “Glen Ridge High School”. If paying by check, please drop off to the main office or place in the black lockbox located outside of the main entrance to GRHS.
